RocketLit personalizes learning by diagnosing and adapting to each student's reading level. This guide explains how the system works, ensuring students receive appropriately leveled content to support their reading development.
What This Help Article Covers:
๐ How the RocketLit Diagnostic Works
RocketLit's diagnostic determines a student's reading level by assigning three short articles, each followed by a multiple-choice quiz. This diagnostic is automatically assigned when a studentโs account is created.
Key Features of the RocketLit Diagnostic:
The diagnostic is required before students can access assigned articles.
Other assigned articles remain locked on students' dashboards until the diagnostic is completed.
Once the diagnostic is finished, students can begin working on assigned articles.
๐ Pro Tip: If a student does not perform well on their initial diagnostic due to stress, unfamiliarity, or other factors, you can allow them to retake it or manually adjust their reading level.

๐ When and How Students' Reading Levels Change
RocketLit automatically adjusts students' reading levels based on their performance:
A student's reading level increases when they score 80% or higher on their first attempt of two consecutive articles.
Reading levels are continuously monitored to ensure students are being appropriately challenged.
๐ Where to View Student Reading Levels:
Navigate to the โReportsโ tab.
Select the "Students" subtab.
View student reading levels:
The "Reading Level" column shows the student's current reading level.
The "Reading Level Gains" column shows reading level increases.
Navigate to your Teacher Dashboard to see a summary of increased reading levels in the bottom right corner.
