When you assign optional free response questions, your students will complete the free response question(s) after submitting the standard multiple choice quiz. This article will show you how to grade these free response questions.

How Do I Grade Free Responses?

1) Go to the "Grading" tab:

2) Here is where you can grade annotations and free responses. Click "Free Responses" and click the article you are grading.

3) You will find your students' answers here. Click on the purple drop down menu to score and type your feedback in the text box below student's response.

4) Don't forget to "Save"!


How Do Students View Their Scores and Feedback?

1) In the student account, go to the "Scores" tab.

2) Students will see an overview score of each article on the right side. Additionally, they can click "view free responses" to view your feedback.
